Mental Health Therapist-Outreach position provides a combination of duties to ensure that the youth/adult has mental health supports in place to support their health and well-being. The Mental Health Therapist is responsible for determining on-going mental health supports/safety of the youth/adults to determine what is required for their health and well-being. Generally, performs on-going assessment of youth/adults for mental health and wellness along with consultation between the Caseworker, Elders and family as well as ither signification persons involved in youth/adults life. Work with you/adults to address deep rooted trauma with intensive treatment to improve their mental health within a trauma informed framework and integrating a client centered and strength-based approach. The Mental Health Therapist is to work in collaboration with Elders to ensure that youth/adults have access to Siksika culture and traditions while on their healing journey.
